As we continue through this time of not gathering physically together, we're providing this worship service for you and your family to use. After the Sunday morning Zoom gathering, you can go through the parts of the worship service and watch the sermon below.

At 11am CT each Sunday morning we gather with Pastor Kim via Zoom for worship and

a chance to say 'Hi!'. Everyone is invited to join us!

The current week's Zoom information will be posted on that Sunday’s worship page under the Connect menu.

Sunday School lessons for children and youth can be found here.

Order of Worship

This is the day that the Lord has made

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Announcements and Life Together

Call to Worship

God of creation and all beginnings! We gather this day grateful for the gift of faith;

Breathe your spirit within us, and gift us with voices to name you.

God of resurrection and new life!

We bring the hope of yearning hearts, grateful that you have named us as Your own;

Breathe your spirit through us, and gift us with hearts that honor you.

God of sustenance, in all our goings and comings! We yearn to taste the artistry of Your love,

which anoints us with light and shadow;

Breathe your spirit upon us, and gift us with the beauty of your name!

Prayer of Praise

Call to Confession

We are a people born of water and the Spirit. We have made promises to be Christ's faithful disciples,

and to show his love to our life's end. Although we fail to fulfill those baptismal vows,

God's faithful love endures forever. Confident of God's grace, let us confess our sin and the sin of this world.

Prayer of Confession

We come before You, O Holy One, just as we are: sometimes filled with great hope and faithful dreams; often stumbling with uncertainties and doubt; always aware of the suffering that inflicts our community and our world, and torn by the grief that troubles our peace.

Gather us into the heart of Your presence with a mother's strong care; welcome us home with a father's tender embrace; and call us once again into the joy of Your presence.

(hear now our silent prayer of confession)

Assurance of Grace

Hear the good news! Hope does not disappoint us, for God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Believe this good news and give thanks: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

Thanks be to God!

Prayer of Illumination

First Scripture Reading

Revelation 21:1-6  (NRSV)

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.” And the one who was seated on the throne said, “See, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Then he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life.

This is the word of the Lord.

Thanks be to God.

Second Scripture Reading

John 13:31-35 (NRSV)

When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him. If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once. Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’ I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Prayers of the People

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors;

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
